In 1996, Rodney began his insurance journey as a State Farm claims trainee who worked through the ranks to the title of Director of the Claims Department. The expertise gained from handling and managing claims of all kinds, from minor fender-benders to catastrophic losses in Alabama, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Louisiana, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, and Texas. But in 2018, he was ready to start a new chapter. This is when Claims Appraisal & Mediation Services was born.
Rodney is a proud graduate of Florida State University and Army Reserve Veteran. Rodney is married to his wife De Anna, and they have two children. Rodney has volunteered and supported Girls of the World Inc, Dynamic Sports and Learning Academy, Feeding Tampa Bay, Guide Right Foundation, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Metropolitan Ministries, Meals on Wheels of Tampa, NAACP of Tampa Bay, Pinellas County Urban League, Plant City Colts Youth Football, and Salvation Army. Together we hope to instill our passion for service in our two children. Rodney is also active in his church, Tampa Bay Claims Association, National African American Insurance Association (NAAIA), Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity inc, and Jack and Jill of America (Dad).
Rodney loves spending time with family and friends when he’s not running his business. He is a teacher and servant at heart. He also loves to spend Saturdays watching FSU football while eating BBQ.
